This is the picture that i'm going to be basing my summary page after. I had a really rough sketch of it and asked a few people and they said they had no idea what was going to be happening on the page. So i decided it would be best for me to just upload the pictures with that was going to happen posted on there. I can show you the sketch i did when you come back if needed.

i will collect the covers of the top 5 albums in 4 different generes giving me 20 covers and then i will check wether they have a warm or cool feel, wether they have a good color scheme, how many copies they have sold over all and another idea which i will be coming up with tonight

Monday, September 28, 2009

I plan to for the next week be looking at album covers and seeing what sells best. To make a comparison on what people like to what sells. Also I will be looking at what people like not just what they buy because people don't buy a cd because of the cover they buy it because they like the style of music.

1. The following people might be good resources for me (Explain why they are good resources):
I'm not sure yet. I'm going to ask my family though.

2. Some possible resources for research are:
Music producer, band manager, music store rep.

I think that during this project I will learn people skills. And how to say my point in an argument/debate without hurting anyone's feelings or making anyone angry.

WIWTD

During the free time given this week I would like to learn some more about premiere and sound booth. We have had the programs available all year but not learned very much about it. I want to know how they work and what they are used for. I am very interested in learning about sound booth because music is one of my favorite hobbies/pastimes. I want to learn about premiere because I enjoy movies and I know that premiere has something to do with movies. I would also like to learn how to make brushes in Photoshop, but that would be if I got finished early with premiere and sound booth. I am going to look up tutorials or web help for sound booth and premiere both. I would also like to learn about aftereffects because it has been there all year but, I never learned it. I would like to know about what exactly it does and what kind of things it can produce.

Being sick last week really put me back in production of the portfolio. But here recently i have been working on the preloader, today I have pretty much finished it up. I also started working on my homepage, and bio page. I need to type the description of myself and everything else I will need for the pages.

Friday, March 6, 2009

I've been sick since Monday. I got home from work with a headache, and when I woke up my stomach, ears, back, and pretty much everything else was bothering me. I will be back Monday. But today during IMD time I'm going to call in to the school and try to get ahold of Fitzer to see if there is anything other than the drawings that I can do to try and stay as cought up as possible because I know how easy it is to fall behind in a technical course.

Today I made my button's for the music player in flash but they won't convert to photoshop right so I willl have to go back and trace them tommrow. After that I will be adding the cactus needles to the outside of them. Then moving onto the portfolio, bio and main page buttons.

BPA sucked!

BPA overall went well for my group, we had some minor technical difficulties with the sound and the video burnt wrong. Even though we had some technical difficulties our questions went well, they asked us what program we used to create the video, Nik answered with exactly what we rehearsed. They didn’t ask us about squash and stretch, Nickolas answered a lot of the questions about the idea, where it came from and why we chose it. The reason we had him answer most of the questions regarding most of those things was because the idea came from him. We had a bad presentation of the video so I’m sure that the seniors won the competition. When we were showing the video the sound was turned up really loud so someone in the group opened up the Volume Control meter from down at the bottom covering most of the video for just about the whole second scene. We also had an explosion in the wrong place so while N-Cast was talking an explosion happened out of nowhere. I answered one of the questions that they had about how we did the background; I told them it was a bitmap image behind the characters and ship. Israel answered the questions that the judges had about the ship, and the ships in the background. They had asked us why we had so many ships going past in one of the scenes; we told them that typically in space movies they have a lot of small ships protecting the big ship.

Next year I will probably work on the same project but I will make sure that I don’t end up in the same group as one of the group members that I was with this year. It was when it came down to fine tuning the details that we really started getting at each other and I have found that I have a really short fuse that I have to watch around certain people. Also next year I would make sure that my group picks an idea that would be a little bit more challenging because this year we had our problems but it was mostly because it was the first real BPA competition we were in, and we just had the jitters. The environment was very tense at the competition and right before we went into the competition my group started joking around a little bit and we had a little bit looser feeling going into the judging I felt. I’m not sure if that was a good or bad thing since we had a bad presentation. The first DVD we put in didn’t work and the volume was extremely loud at first, also we didn’t introduce ourselves for about the first minute or two of the presentation.

Today i worked on the Flash document that we needed to make for the exam. I also finished DiMasso's montage thing for his exam

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Today I finished the BPA explosion scene. I also found a tutorial on how to animate the starry backround to make it seem like the space ship we will be using is moving in space. Also I worked with the explosions a bit because their timing was off from the boxes accually breaking.
I'm going to tweak the fire to make it look more like an actual explosion.

I will also be changing the timing a bit so that we can make the BPA logo look good with the fire.

I will also need to be bringing in the BPA logo so that we can have that scene for later use.

1/6/09

Today I am working on making the explosions for when the robot will click the button. I am having minor difficulties with the timing and size of the explosion. Also if I have time, I am going to bring the BPA logo into the explosion file so that we can have the explosion scene done, other than the final adjustments and tweaking.

I learned how to make boxes and other shapes.
